Knial Saunders is an award-winning writer, director, and producer based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is interested in creating diverse genre films.
He is an alumnus of Howard University and the University of Southern California.
Knial has written, directed, and produced short films which have exhibited at the Pan African Film Festival, Micheaux Film Festival, Cambria Film Festival, Pride Film Festival, and Reel Black Men Short Film Showcase.
He interned at Shondaland and Bad Robot and served as a director's assistant at Warner Bros. Discovery, where he supported acclaimed writer-director David Robert Mitchell on the feature film “Flowervale Street”, starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor.
Knial’s films explore multicultural identity, religion, and sexuality through the lens of intimate coming-of-age narratives. He’s currently in early preproduction for his feature debut.
When he isn’t working on films, you can find him playing with his dogs.
